This pattern can either be a cross shape or a box divided by a fancy plus mark (see caption of weaving diagram).
Isles Cross
If you don’t want a cross — R2: P, then begin the pattern on R3 and eliminate R7: P.
This will give you an off-center box with a plus shape in the middle.
